Michael and Sandra Byrne are the driving force behind CPD Tree Services since 1993. As a family-run business, we bring a personal touch to our arboricultural services that set us apart. With more than 30 years of experience in the arboriculture industry, we bring unparalleled expertise and knowledge to every tree service we undertake. Michael Byrne | Director

Michael is a Consulting and Climbing Arborist who has worked in the tree industry for over 30 years. During this time he has attained a high level of competency as a rope and harness climber, proficient in pruning techniques and complex tree removals. 


Michael's expertise extends to VALID, TRAQ, and QTRA Tree Risk Assessment, allowing him to assess your trees utilising the most appropriate method.


Michael is also a Certified Trainer and Assessor, providing those new and old to the aboricultural industry with his knowledge.


Having played integral roles in ArbWest for over 20 years, Michael has significantly influenced the industry by introducing innovative initiatives like international format Climbing Competitions, Arbor Camps and Training Workshops across WA.

"Michael Byrne of CPD Tree Services recently did some work for me.

He and his team of three removed a very large Tasmanian Blue Gum (some 60’ high and 4ft 8 inches across the wide base). He managed to remove the tree from my suburban garden without causing any damage to my garden and fencing. A very difficult feat in a relatively small area made harder with the heavy trunk leaning over brittle limestone retaining walls.

                                                         

He and his team also removed thick and long lateral branches from my very large Lemon Scented Gum overhanging my neighbour’s yard. Once again he and the team managed to manoeuvre the large branches in exactly the right spot on my side of the fence causing no damage. All the cut material was removed and the site was left clean and tidy.

 

I therefore have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Michael Byrne especially for very large and difficult tree pruning or removal jobs of this type."

"Over the last 5 years we've had CPD round at least 3 times to deal with difficult trees. On each occasion they have provided a fantastic service. They have they removed some very large tricky trees - one overhanging power lines and a road, another leaning over buildings, another which had fallen over a fence and was half propped up against another tree. On each occasion the job was carefully assessed, quoted and completed on time with great precision.
